Three Ohio South Clubs Form Strategic U19 Partnership

Club CUP Elite

Cincinnati United Premier Boys and Club Ohio are excited to strengthen an already existing U19 affiliate program by adding Cincinnati Elite FC for the 2020/21 Season. 2002 birth year boys from the 3 clubs will provide the foundation of the U19 Roster which will provide  a clear and future pathway for current 03 and younger players from all 3 clubs. The 2002s of today will have the opportunity to participate at a high level with like-minded players and staff without having to ‘leave their club’ in their final season of club soccer.

While many players will come from these clubs, there will be spots available yearly to boys from outside the trilogy named in this affiliation. Geared for top tier players, those interested must register with any Club CUP Elite organization to be considered.

  • To provide a clear pathway for our top Senior U19 players annually
  • Sharing of resources including coaching staff, facilities, & best practices
  • Bring the top players together to compete at Regional and National Level for exposure and preparation for the College Level

Coaching Staff

  • Will include at least one coach from all 3 clubs and will be announced officially in the coming days.

Training Locations

  • Cincinnati market players will train 3 nights per week in most weeks within the Cincinnati Elite and CUP training facilities as a group. Players coming from Club Ohio will train in Columbus as well as the Cincinnati/Dayton area as a group when preparing for main events for the season.

Expected Competition Platforms

  • National League GLC Club v Club League
  • College Showcase Events
  • State Cup / Regionals / Nationals
  • Support play in the MDL league

Cincinnati Elite FC Executive Director Alex Rawlings states, “We have had success with this model in the past and are anxious to work together and apply it to our current 2002 players.  The exciting part for us extends with the opportunity to use this model year after year for our trapped seniors.”

As Club Ohio Director Ryan Baker adds, “We are excited to be part of the CUP/Club Ohio/Cincinnati Elite merger for U19 Boys.  This will be a great opportunity for our players to continue to compete on the national level with the best players in Southern Ohio.”

And finally CUP Technical Director Scott Bower adds, “We are excited to continue this successful endeavor into year 2 with Club Ohio. Adding Cincinnati Elite into the fold allows more top players to play together at the highest level for development and college exposure. We fully expect to continue to compete at a Regional and National level with the inclusion of these clubs, players and the sharing of staff.’
